Drought is worsening in the Kunene Region, with the area becoming drier than it was in March when signs of a serious drought were first noticed and farmers are losing cattle on a daily basis.
Some farmers who tried to rescue their livestock by moving them to areas in the Omusati Region have lost up to 20 cattle because the animals were already weak.
The Omakange area alone, which is more than 60 km away from Opuwo town, is accommodating over 3???_?_’???_?’???_???
