Sven Thieme, the executive chairman of the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group, was awarded the Forbes Best of Africa Outstanding Corporate Leadership Award at a recent ceremony held in Lisbon, Portugal. This recognition highlights Thieme’s exceptional leadership, commitment to excellence, and dedication to fostering sustainable growth and development in Namibia.

The awards highlight individuals who demonstrate exemplary leadership, innovation, and a commitment to creating positive change in their respective industries and communities.

Receiving the award in Lisbon, a city renowned for its history of exploration, Thieme drew parallels to Namibia’s spirit of adventure and innovation: “Receiving this award in Lisbon reminds me of Namibia’s own spirit of adventure and discovery. It is a spirit that inspires me daily as I lead the Ohlthaver & List Group, a diverse conglomerate of companies that employs just under 6 000 dedicated individuals.”
