WINDHOEK – A 41-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging at Karasburg on Sunday. 

The victim was identified as Pius Johannes Swartbooi.

 His next of kin were informed.

Swartbooi’s body was found hanging from a tree by a family member around 07h20 on Sunday.

 Swartbooi had previously mentioned his intention to commit suicide.

“No foul play is suspected, and no suicide note was left behind,” Namibian Police Force crime investigations coordinator for the //Kharas region Nicodemus Mbango said.

Police investigations into the matter continue.
