On Saturday, the expo kicks of early at 08h00 with Vasbyt, while Gymkhana and drifting will take place throughout the day.
“The necessary permits have been issued. The exhibitors and stalls have been finalised. The drifters from Johannesburg are enroute to Namibia, sleeping over in Botswana. They are scheduled to arrive today to make for an exciting weekend of motorsport,” said expo promoter Bradley Ferreira.
M&Z Motors, the exclusive exhibitor at the expo, is scheduled to provide test drives on new and existing models, while a number of exhibitors, including food stalls, have been confirmed.
The event, consisting of two action-packed days of motorsport madness, will showcase everything – from exhibition cars and dealership showcases to high-octane drifting and grassroots motorsport disciplines.
At Friday and Saturday’s much-anticipated events, motoring enthusiasts can expect to be treated to incredible speeds, power slides, roaring engines and the smell of burning rubber.
With dealership stands, drift shows and DJs, the Motoring Expo offers something for motorsport lovers, car enthusiasts, families and festivalgoers alike.
Meanwhile, exhibitions are scheduled to continue from early morning on Saturday, with additional motorsport events scheduled to draw the crowds.
Organisers have pledged a weekend of great motoring entertainment that will be complemented by music, plenty of surprises and special motorcycle action to be confirmed.
“It’s not just a race – it’s a festival of speed, style and spectacle,” said Ferreira.
“This expo is a chance to support and grow motorsport in Namibia. Events like these help raise the profile of the sport, build infrastructure, strengthen safety norms and inspire the next generation of drivers and mechanics,” he said.
Visitors to the expo can gain daily access or can purchase a weekend pass for best value.
So, whether you are a fan of exhibition vehicles, drift, drag or newer grassroots disciplines, the 2025 Motoring Expo at the Tony Rust Racetrack is sure to have something to get your engine purring.
