Netball Namibia has appointed Jessica Gaomuses as its new secretary general, a role in which she will also serve as the federation’s CEO.
The appointment signals an important step for the governing body as it seeks to strengthen its governance structures and accelerate the growth and professionalisation of netball in the country.
In a statement, the federation said Gaomuses brings strong leadership qualities, administrative expertise and a deep commitment to advancing the sport.
“As secretary general, she will oversee the strategic direction, daily operations and financial stewardship of the federation. She will also work closely with key stakeholders to expand opportunities for athletes, coaches and administrators across Namibia,” the statement read.
Under her leadership, Netball Namibia aims to further strengthen development programmes, improve national competitions, establish sustainable partnerships and elevate the profile of the sport both locally and internationally.
The federation believes her appointment will play a vital role in driving the continued growth and transformation of netball in the country.
“The leadership, members and the broader netball community warmly welcome Gaomuses to this important role and look forward to her contribution in driving the continued growth and success of the sport. Together, we will continue to develop champions, empower women and grow the game,” the statement reads.
