RUNDU – A 29-year-old suspect in the brutal murder of Ndama resident Maria Mbunze Nseu, 28, at Rundu in August has pleaded not guilty.

The suspected murderer Sikeso Edward Musongo made his second appearance in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, October 14.
Musongo told the court he did not know the deceased before briefly explaining why he pleaded not guilty to the murder charge.
He professed he did not know anything about the victim and how the victim was brutally killed.
Nseu was last seen at a drinking outlet at midnight before she was discovered dead with several stab wounds the following morning on August 22, in her shack in the sprawling settlement of Ndama in Rundu.
At that time the police spokesman for Kavango East, Chief Inspector Sam !Nawaseb revealed that initially three suspects were detained and interrogated by detectives on the same day the stark naked body of Nseu was discovered but Musongo emerged as the number one suspect of the horrendous murder.
During the routine court session Musongo also stated he would conduct his own defence, adding that he had witnesses to call.
Musongo appeared before Magistrate Esme Molefe and Albert Titus represented the State.
The case was remanded to November 12 and he remains in custody but was informed he could apply for a formal bail hearing should he wish to be released on bail.
