WINDHOEK – The Namibian Table Tennis Associations (NTTA) National League came to a thrilling conclusion on Monday evening in Windhoek after 14 match-days of blistering action.
SKW Table Tennis Club-1 trounced the Police Table Tennis Club by 6-1 to clinch the league title. And although the odds were stacked heavily against them, SKW managed to do just that.
Both sides showed fantastic table tennis form, but SKW was the better team on the day as they overpowered a stubborn Police team.
It was one of the tightest and closely contested encounters of the National League ever.
SKW’s experienced players Reinolt Schurz, Bjorn Wasielke, Michael Xu and Heiko Fleidl celebrated after their comeback of epic proportions. The Police team finished 2nd overall.
The 3rd place went to SKW-2, which consisted of Johann Malan, Wayne Green and Christa Mrozek, with 3 points.
