Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) CEO Digu //Naobeb has confirmed that he informed the board that he no longer wishes to continue employment with the board.

Despite the endless challenges plaguing most public schools, including limited resources and bulging learner numbers per teacher, many parents have opted their children out of expensive private schools to State schools.

The environment and tourism ministry has said rhino poaching remains a serious concern with 87 rhinos poached in 2022, consisting of 61 black rhinos and 26 white rhinos. 

In the quest to make higher education and training accessible to eligible and qualifying students, the government, through the Namibia Student Financial Assistance Fund, has invested over N$7 billion in student funding at public and private institutions for the past five years. 

The University of Namibia has said it reviewed most of the programmes that were not accredited, taking the comments of the review panels into account, and has submitted them to the National Council for Higher Education in December 2022 for consideration.
