Amos farm workers camp
The Amos management is hosting a National Farm Workers camp from September 18 – 20 at the Rock Lodge near Okahandja. This will be a preparation weekend with the theme Disciples for Christ. Farmers and one or two workers are invited to participate and the costs are N$200 per worker for the weekend. Sleeping bags and cutlery must be brought along. Transport is available from Windhoek on September 18 at 15:00 to the Rock Lodge and back on September 20 at 14:00. The function will start on the 18th at 17:00 and ends on the 20th at 12:00. Blumfelde FA is holding a member meeting on September 2 at 14:00 at the FA hall. After the meeting there will be the annual garden day and the speaker is a person from the Namibia Organic Association. There will also be plants for sale. The annual Old Mutual bowling day will be hosted by the Gamsberg and Kaiserstreet FA’s on September 11 at 10:00 at the bowling club at the Windhoek Country Club. The Outjo Kunene Regional Show is held on September 11 & 12 at Sophienhof outside Outjo. For the first time there will also be a poultry show this year. Mr & Miss Mini Show will be elected and children up to grade 4 can take part. The days will be concluded with a steak braai and dance with Joggie and André Havenga. The Livestock Producers Organisation (LPO) Congress is held on October 6 & 7 and the Namibia Agricultural Union (NAQU) Congress on October 7 & 8, 2015 at the Safari Hotel, Windhoek. The theme of both congresses is “Smart Farming”. The official opening of the NAU Congress will be a breakfast this year which is held on October 8 from 07:30 – 10:00 at the Acacia Restaurant, Safari Hotel.
