WINDHOEK – Magistrate John Sindano on Thursday granted bail of N$5 000 to 46-year-old Hilma Frederik who allegedly stole N$14 600 from her employer.

She faces a charge of theft. The charge sheet indicates that Frederik allegedly stole N$14 000 between 5 May and 25 June  this year near 52 Toerwyn Street in Eros.

Her rights to legal representation were explained and she indicated she would apply for legal aid.

Prosecutor Nasilele Siyambango requested the matter be remanded to 13 August for a legal aid hearing. She further recommended bail of N$5 000 which the magistrate granted.
