WINDHOEK-The annual Miss High School North is set to commence on Friday with the selection of young models and learners from different schools in the northern regions.
Organisers of this year’s pageant, Christian Itope, says they have implemented new programmes for the annual leaners’ pageant to produce and host the best ever high school pageant in the northern part of the country. “We will be visiting different schools in the north whereby we have to choose one learner from each school to represent the whole school at the main event,” says Itope.
The main Miss High School North 2014 will take place on April 19 at Ekamuti Town Lounge in Ondangwa. Itope says the pageant aims to endorse young models to compete against each other and showcases their beauty, intelligence and self confidence, as well as elevate the images of their high schools.
The first selection will start this Friday at Oshigambo High School in the Main Hall with the performances from different local artists such as Boet, Omfally, Amazonkies, Dirty Fruit, Nestor, Flyback, Rico and many more. Dj TYMZ will be on the mix. The selection will again continue on Saturday at Andimba Toivo ya Toivo in Ondangwa. Doors open at six O’clock (18h00) and entrance is N$ 15.
