WINDHOEK – Ousted veteran Black Africa coach, Brian Isaacs, says he has no “hard feelings or regrets” about his abrupt departure from the club, adding that he will take a short break from the game before deciding on his next move.
Isaacs and his two assistants, Otto Landsberg and Eric Quest, were shown the door by the club’s management following a string of poor results, but Landsberg has, however, been recalled to join the new technical department that also consists of BA former shot-stopper Arnold Subub, who takes over as goalkeeper coach.
Isaacs, who led Black Africa to four back-to-back league titles, yesterday insisted he has no hard feelings over his shocking departure but rather went to great length to thank the entire club management for according him an opportunity to coach and make history with one of the country’s biggest clubs.
“As a coach you have to expect this kind of thing, so I respect the club’s decision and their plans of bringing in someone new with fresh ideas and I hold no grudges against the club or whatsoever. But for now I will take a short break at least until next season or so, and then start planning as to what is the way forward,” said the highly experienced mentor.
“I wish the club and the new coach nothing but the best of luck going forward. I have enjoyed a great time with the team and the players but that’s life we have to move forward.”
