It will take Namibia 100 years to complete the land reform process at the current pace of one percent per annum, a new report on expropriation and its impact on reform has said.
The Legal Assistance Centre (LAC) released the report, “No Resettlement Available”, an assessment of the expropriation principle and its impact on land reform”, last week.
The LAC’s Land, Environment and Development project undertook research to describe the process under the Agricultural Land Reform Act, analyse what has been accomplished and also to make recommendations for an effective land reform and resettlement programme.
