WINDHOEK – The village of Okondjatu in the Otjozonjupa Region will awaken from its slumber next week when what promises to be a great youth expo and talent show will be hosted at that village for the second time.
The youth expo and talent show that aims to bring the youth of Okondjatu and those from other regions together to develop their capacity, will expose their talent, aid with educational choices and give information on HIV/AIDS amongst other things will commence next Thursday and end on Sunday.
The Kasojetua youth group in Okondjatu are the brains behind the planned youth expo and talent show.
Speaking to New Era last week, Vaanavi Ripunda said it is the second time that an event of this nature takes place in Okondjatu, after a similar mini expo was hosted by Okondjatu in 2011. There will be music competitions, dramas and Miss Kasojetua junior and Miss Kasojetua senior.
Amongst those who would grace the occasion, Ripunda said include the councillor of the Okakarara constituency, Vetaruhe Kandorozu and the Deputy Minister of Youth National Service Sports and Culture, Juliet Kavetuna, who is also the patron of the youth expo and talent show.
“I invite all young people in Okondjatu and from other regions to make their way to the Okondjatu youth expo and talent show as it promises great things for young people. It is one of the biggest event in Okondjatu,” Ripunda said.
