In Ondangwa, whatever that glitters is treasure.

This is after the Ondangwa Trade Fair 2026, held from 24 April to 2 May, once again brought life, business and entertainment to the town. Exhibitors, artists, entrepreneurs and residents all gathered for one of northern Namibia’s biggest annual events.

Held at the Ondangwa Trade Fair Centre, the event created an important platform for local businesses and creatives to showcase their work, connect with people and grow their brands.

From business exhibitions to live performances and networking opportunities, the trade fair attracted people from different parts of the country.

Visitors had the opportunity to interact directly with exhibitors, discover new products, and build new business relationships.

The entertainment section of the event also drew large crowds, especially during the Gospel Concert and Choir Competition.

Local gospel artists Alex Shiungu and Almer Mumbala were among the performers who entertained the audience with energetic performances.

Exhibitor Maria Joseph said the trade fair gave small businesses a chance to market themselves and reach new customers. Apart from business opportunities, the event also created temporary jobs for young people, giving artists, storytellers and entrepreneurs a space to collaborate and exchange ideas.

Many visitors described the expo as a successful event that continues to support local economic growth, tourism and talent development in northern Namibia.

With another successful edition completed, organisers are already looking forward to an even bigger Ondangwa Trade Fair next year, one that residents, businesses and visitors will not want to miss.
