CAPE TOWN – Women on Wheels (WOW) has announced the winners of the 2014 WOW Women’s Car of the Year (COTY) awards.
The Porsche Boxster was crowned the 2013 SA car of the year and the Cayman S won the 2014 title. In September 2014, the automaker has won the women’s car of the year title too.
Over 10 000 votes were cast by WOW readers and combined with the judges’ votes, the top cars in 11 categories were decided.
Charleen Clarke, editor of WOW and convener of the WOW Car of the Year judging panel said: “It is such an exciting survey for us at WOW.
“Not only are more women actively searching for cars, but with the volume of votes we can confidently say that these results are a real-life indicator of South African women’s favourite cars.
More women are making the car buying decisions in their households and we are tapping in to this market.”
