Namibia’s Diana Andimba is gearing up to walk the runway in the Miss Earth 2022 grand finale and coronation tomorrow in Okada Manila, Philippines.

She is representing Namibia as the second runner-up in the 2022 Miss Namibia pageant, which took place on 12 August 2022. Andimba forms part of 90 beauties from all over the world who are competing in Miss Earth – a major international beauty pageant which advocates for environmental awareness, conservation and social responsibility.

The theme is ‘Me loves Fauna’, and emphasises the importance of caring for animal life, as well as to give awareness of how animal life, whether wildlife or domestic, and especially the endangered species, are essential to the environment.

Andimba (23) – a philanthropist, aspiring chef and architect in training from Windhoek – will be wearing a pangolin-inspired costume as she promotes the conservation of this endangered mammal.

She is one of 11 women selected by the prestigious influencer – The Business of Pageantry – as their pick from which Miss Earth 2022 should emerge.

Namibia first joined Miss Earth in 2014 with Paulina Malulu. Andimba is the country’s third representative to the Philippine-based international competition. Watch the event live on facebook.com/MissEarth, youtube.com/@MissEarth and on kumu.live/MissEarthOfficial It is expected to commence at around 12h00 Namibian time.
