Action will continue this weekend in the FNB Women Super League, which will see a string of exciting fixtures lined up for tomorrow and Sunday in various towns.

The women’s topflight league officially commenced last weekend and saw a galore of goals being scored.

League newcomers Arrows Ladies will tomorrow be out to consolidate last weekend’s good start, which saw them beating Namib Daughters 3-2 at the NFA Technical Centre. They will be in action against Girls and Goals FC at the same venue.

Arrows Ladies coach Salmon Nakale said the plan this weekend is to continue bringing their A-game forward and hopefully collects maximum points away from home.

He said no game is easy as all teams are fiercely competing for glory this season and therefore, his charges will be well prepared and ready to claim their stake in the FNB Namibia sponsored super league.

“It will be an exciting weekend for Arrows as this is our debut season in the league, and we are looking forward to making a strong impression. I think the fixtures are a bit tricky for almost all teams, and no team has shown any weakness since the start of the league and that means we will have to be at our best. No team will be easy to beat in this league,” said Nakale.

Turning his attention to tomorrow’s opponents, the gaffer said Girls and Goals should expect nothing but a toe-to-toe battle as they aim to maintain their good start.

“I am hoping for a great weekend for my team. We have prepared so well and it’s now up to the players to execute our game plan.”

Also in action tomorrow, NUST Babes will square off against Beauties at the NFA Technical Centre, followed by a face-off between V-Power and Okahandja at the same field. Omaheke Queens will take on Ongwediva Queens at the Legare stadium in Gobabis.

At Unam stadium, Unam Bokkies will take on Ramblers in what is expected to be a thrilling clash, while Khomas Nampol will confront Namib Daughters at the NFA Technical Centre.

On Sunday, action will continue with V-Power taking on Beauties at the NFA Technical Centre, while NUST Babes will face Okahandja at the same venue. At Unam stadium, Unam Bokkies will have a date with Ongwediva Queens.

Meanwhile, at the Gobabis Legare stadium, Omaheke Queens will be in action against Ramblers, while Girls and Goals will face Namib Daughters at the NFA Technical Centre. Khomas Nampol will wrap up the weekend’s proceedings with a clash against Arrows Ladies at the NFA Technical Centre.
