Auala to showcase collections in the UK
"WINDHOEK-Overall winner of the Fashion Design Diploma (FDD) fashion show hosted by the College of the Arts (COTA) in the capital recently, Martha Auala, is heading to the United Kingdom (UK) next week to showcase her African print collections at the third annual African’s Culture and Fashion Show.ion   The African’s Culture and Fashion Show is organised by Namibian fashion designer, Eva Miarkawho, currently based in London. The fashion show will be held in the Millennium Gloucester Hotel next Saturday, during the London Fashion Week. The 36 year-old Martha says she is very happy to showcase her collection internationally, and this will be a platform for her to move to the next level. “I am a happy soul and love what I am doing with all my heart. Fashion gives me every day's bread. I believe in myself,” says Martha. She adds that she have been designing garments  ever since she completed  her FDD course in 2010 and registered her own company, Taleniko Creation CC in 2011. “With my garments, this time I tried to do African print. I decided to do African print to keep Africa shining like a star. The garments I made for the fashion show is only for the ladies and I am busy with the men's wear now,” she says.
