Coastal resident in court for possessing cocaine
2016-05-06Staff Report 2 Walvis Bay Kuume Henok Shikondeli, 44, who made a brief appearance in the Walvis Bay Magistrate’s Court for alleged drug possession, was denied bail last Friday and had his case postponed. Shikondeli, who made his first appearance before magistrate Vicky Nicoladis, was arrested last Thursday evening at a house in Kuisebmond for allegedly dealing and being in possession of cocaine with a street value of N$27 500. According to the police, Shikondeli was found in the possession of five ‘full moons’, and two and a half ‘bullets’ of suspected crack cocaine. He was arrested after members of the public tipped off the police about his illegal dealings. Meanwhile in Swakopmund, a suspected drug dealer also had his case postponed, to May 11, for a bail hearing after he was denied bail following his arrest for being in possession of 8 grams of cocaine with a street value of N$4 800. Frank Schiefer, 41, was arrested in April and has been in custody ever since. 2016-05-06Staff Report 2
