Dispatched thoughts - The disconnection between your thoughts, reality

There is a disconnection between how we think we live our lives and how we actually live our lives. As ambitious youth and people in general, we mostly tend to want more and do better; to live a life worthy of our dreams or ambitions. But sometimes we don’t even know what that life actually looks like.

We never really think of this enough and clearly. What would the ideal life look like? More accurately – what would the ideal habits look like in what one would consider their dream life?

These are questions I ask myself (sometimes) because clearly, something isn’t right about how we spend our time and what we actually want to achieve. The disconnection is too much and the results clearly show how far off we are. The words, promises and desires just do not match the actions. It isn’t right and I certainly do not feel good about it.

As a matter of fact, I am certain that it certainly isn’t a lack of direction that is lacking in this disconnection. We all know what we want and I am pretty sure we are aware of what we have to do; we have always been aware from a young age. It’s more the execution that we struggle with. It’s what we have struggled with the most actually, as a matter of fact, that is an issue that the country has struggled with for the most of its independence. How do we overcome it? I don’t know.

I might not have the right answers to how to overcome these disconnections, but one thing is for sure – if it isn’t addressed and continues, we will soon be out of time and will not get an opportunity to readjust or dream hopefully even.

I have seen some good people over the years die while they are still alive. They lost the joy and wonder of living from their eyes; they simply live life on a day-to-day basis without a whiff of hope for anything tomorrow. It’s a really sad sight to see. Worse is, they become bitter and turn into dream killers to those around them. It’s uncomfortable.

All these are a consequence of not backing up one’s words. Words alone are not enough to get you where you want to be. Those words or goals or dreams have to be connected to actions to become reality.
