Drum Café branches into Namibia
" Windhoek The local music group, Ongoma, has launched their new trading name ‘Drum Café Namibia’ to expose Namibia’s corporate and private sector to the vastly popular programmes of one of the world leading Team Building and Corporate Events Companies. After receiving training from Drum Café Johannesburg facilitator, Toré Gune, in the beginning of the year, Ongoma is now offering the same services in Namibia that have made Drum Café internationally famous like interactive drumming for teambuilding, for conferences or for private functions, interactive boom whacking and interactive gumboot dancing or gumboot performances. Launching in the capital recently, Ongoma Manager and shareholder, Irmi Röder, said Ongoma had invited stakeholders in the tourism and entertainment sector as well as prospective corporate partners to introduce its guests to the interactive drumming programme that have made Drum Café an international trade mark. Namibia will be the third African country to join the Drum Café family that originated in Johannesburg 20 years ago after Mauritius and Zimbabwe. Drumming relaxes, energises and motivates in a way most team building companies cannot explain, and is something everyone, and every culture can relate to,"" explained Warren Lieberman, founder of Drum Café. The group plans to initiate regular public drumming circles on a monthly basis at the Warehouse Theatre."
