2008-06-13Staff Report 2 "THE National Art Gallery of Namibia is hosting an exhibition by Jonathan Joba entitled: ""Prejudice is ignorance"" on June 17. His work is innovative and portrays an educational message to the young Namibian. This exhibition is as a mixture of pencil drawings, printing and sculpture. Most of the artworks were created with the aim to address crimes that are perpetrated against women and children. The art pieces to be viewed have been created for experimental purposes and technique mastering, because as an artist he does not wish to be linked or associated with a certain technique. ""An artist grows everyday and one cannot always approach his/her ideas and thoughts the same,"" says Joba. Joba's works are rooted and embedded in the daily life. He unravels literature as a criticism of life. He employs imagination creativity and one may succinctly, articulate that ""those who labour with their hands and brain are paramount in society"".
