Ramouna Shipunda

The 17-year-old Innocentia Mukubi is model who will be representing Namibia in the Miss Teen Eco-Tourism World beauty pageant in Durban, South Africa from 10-17 October.

Currently reigning as Miss Queen of Summer 2021, Mukubi is passionate about modelling and has big dreams and a big heart.

She was part of the “restore her dignity” charity function that took place on the 6th of August 2022.

“My strength as a professional is that I am a quick thinker and I give immediate answers plus I work great under pressure,” said Mukubi, who is currently in matric and is looking forward to joining the aviation industry in the future.

She believes she was selected by the local pageant directors because they have seen her potential as she has won 11 beauty titles in the past two years.

Mukubi said with excitement that the pageant is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and she would highly appreciate assistance to cover her travel fees and wardrobe requirements.

She needs an estimated N$30 000 and so far, has raised over N$1 000 after she put out her poster a few weeks ago.

“My ambitions in life are to be an ambassador for my country and young girls. I also want to make sure that each girl has a voice and can stand up for herself and be herself.”

Her goal is to be an inspiration to young girls in Namibia, SADC, and the world over.

Another Namibian beauty, Magdalena Haingura (25) will compete in the Miss Eco-Tourism World competition, taking place concurrently with the Miss Teen Eco-Tourism World event.

Namibians can vote for both beauty queens in the public choice category on the Miss Eco-Tourism World website.
