FNB WSL action returns with exciting fixtures

The FNB Women’s Super League is set to resume action this weekend after a brief hiatus, promising an array of thrilling matchups.

Kicking off the weekend’s festivities, V-Power Angels, currently positioned at number nine on the league table, will clash with Girls and Goals, holding the fourth spot, at the Namibia Football Association (NFA) technical centre in Katutura today.

Tomorrow will witness a flurry of games at the NFA centre, with the log leaders and defending champions F.C. Ongos facing a formidable challenge as they take on Unam Bokkies, who sit fifth in the standings.

Meanwhile, Ongwediva Queens, currently seventh with 14 points, will strive to maintain their momentum when they meet Namib Daughters at Uukwangula Stadium.

In another encounter tomorrow, Ramblers, placed tenth on the log, will host Okahandja, who are still seeking their first victory of the season and are languishing at the bottom of the standings with zero points.

Expressing his team’s readiness for the upcoming match, Okahandja’s head coach, Richard April, stated: “We trained this week with our full squad, and the girls are in high spirits. We are hoping to collect maximum points against Ramblers. We are planning to apply all our tactics and are determined to secure a victory on Saturday.”

Similarly, FC Ongos coach  Shama Gure, speaking ahead of tomorrow’s fixture, expressed confidence in his team’s preparedness: “We are ready for this weekend, and I believe the team is in good form and in high spirits. They are physically and mentally prepared. We are expecting to secure maximum points.”

Additionally, tomorrow, Beauties, currently second in the standings, will face Arrows Ladies, positioned eighth, in what promises to be an exhilarating match. Meanwhile, in another exciting encounter, Khomas Nampol will square off against NUST Babes.
