International judge Mary Binks was pleased with the results of the riders although participation was not very high, something that can be easily attributed to the long weekend which prompted the federation to consider moving the dates for this prestigious event to a more acceptable date. The Nubuamis grounds were immaculate with Louis and Ronel having put in an enormous effort to have the course ready in time including blowing away part of a hill to obtain the prescribed perimeters of the course. Both categories A and C were ridden over four rounds over two days with Franmari Lang winning in the Category A with only 4 faults against the 18 and 21 faults of the runners-up. Michelle Kuenzle on her horse M&A’s Caskari took the laurels in Category C. Part of the weekend event was the 2014 Youth Olympic Qualifier (YOG).  The best performance rider for the YOG was Ane Rautenbach on her horse Neu Heusis Real Earl.  However, no rider achieved the score required to qualify for the games. The prize for the best turned out horse, which was chosen at the veterinary inspection, went to Vanessa Glowania and Midgard Flying Finn.  The winner of the jumping competition over 1,10 m, Suleika Hasse on Carla Bodenhausen received the alternate prize at the inspection. The competitors were delighted to have Gabi Ahrens in attendance at the opening ceremony of the FEI Challenge on Sunday. She is the representative for the Namibian National Olympic Committee. First National Bank has been a strong partner in equestrian sport and was the main sponsor of the 2013 FEI World Challenge. The final results were as follows : Jumping competition over 1,10m : Suleika Hasse on Bodenhausen Carla FEI Category C over 1,00 : 1. Michelle Kuenzle on Caskari 2.
