Mr and Miss Face of Namibia 2023 coronation at N/a’an ku sê

As the countdown begins for the Mr and Miss Face of Namibia pageant, contestants are preparing to shine on stage, hoping to impress the distinguished panel of judges with their unique qualities and talents.

The highly-anticipated seventh annual Mr and Miss Face of Namibia pageant is set to take place on 5 August 2023 at the prestigious N/a'an ku sê at Utopia Lodge in Windhoek.
Managed by the Mr & Miss Face of Namibia organisation, the event will be a celebration of beauty, talent and diversity, showcasing the nation’s finest male and female contestants.

A total of four males and 12 females will be gunning for the coveted titles.

Its founder and director Marchell Coetzee said the pageant is presenting a new crown this year, called the ‘Hope Crown’, which was made in Thailand and resembles the Face of Namibia logo.

“Hope lies in dreams, in imagination, and in the courage of those who dare to make dreams into reality,” he added.

The theme for this year’s pageant is ‘Inclusivity and Diversity’

“We want to be a representation of different people from different backgrounds in our organisation, and to ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to contribute to and influence every part and level of the face of Namibia,” Coetzee told VIBEZ!

The pageant was launched at the end of January, with applications closing in March. Entries were open to 18 to 30-year-olds only.

The finale will feature multiple rounds, including creative wear which will be worn for the opening act, and later swimwear and evening wear.

The new Miss Face of Namibia will represent Namibia in the Miss Planet International pageant this November in Cambodia.

“Prizes will only be received by the winners of Face of Namibia 2023. Prizes will be from several Namibian companies in order for them to have a successful year of reign. Moreover, each finalist has their own Namibian designer, stylist and make-up artists sponsoring them for the coronation,” the founder continued.

The Mr and Miss Face of Namibia organisation is a non-profit entity which aims to celebrate the rich cultural diversity of Namibia, introduce youth ambassadors for Namibia, and build confidence, skills and talent. The organisation encourages the recognition and inclusion of all Namibian people, regardless of their identity, values, orientation, culture and ethnicity.
