Multichoice Namibia to broadcast State funeral across Africa

MULTICHOICE Namibia will open channels to the rest of Africa during the memorial and funeral ceremonies of the late President Hage G Geingob on Saturday, 24 February and Sunday, 25 February 2024.

“The MultiChoice family mourns alongside the citizens of Namibia and shares the grief from the loss of Namibia’s third president Dr Hage G. Geingob,” said MultiChoice Namibia managing director Roger Gertze.

“This gesture is a way to honour the profound legacy of the late President especially the impact he has made throughout the continent and beyond. MultiChoice Namibia, as a partner of the NBC, will broadcasting the state memorial and funeral on live and in HD on nbc1 (channel 282) and nbc2 (channel 283)” added Gertze.

In addition, more than 30 countries on the continent will be able to watch the state memorial and funeral on nbc1 on channel 199. Earlier this month, MultiChoice screened the documentary ‘Geingob: Man of the Hour’ on two of our linear channels and it remains available on its CatchUp service and Showmax platform.
