Hyphen Hydrogen Energy (Hyphen) has appointed two seasoned Namibian professionals, Victoria Pieters and Titus Kanyanda, to its team. Pieters assumes the role of head of human resources, while Kanyanda has been appointed as the finance manager.

Pieters, a professional with over 24 years of experience in human resources, brings a unique blend of expertise to Hyphen. Her qualifications include a B-Tech in Human Resource Management (HRM) and certifications in a Management Development Programme and International Labour Standards.

Her executive management experience in high-calibre organisations such as Skorpion Zinc, ABB and G4S Namibia, make her a valuable addition to Hyphen’s team. Her vast experience spans industries such as mining, power automation, security, finance, telecommunications and retail, further enhancing her ability to contribute to Hyphen’s HR strategies. Pieters expressed her excitement about joining the team at Hyphen, stating; ''I am thrilled to be a part of the Hyphen team.

I am keen to leverage my experience to drive HR strategies that align with the company›s vision and goals, and make this green hydrogen project a reality”.

Kanyanda, a Chartered Accountant with a Master of Business Administration (MBA), is the other appointment strengthening the Hyphen team.

He brings over a decade of experience in finance and business operations. His financial management expertise, gained from auditing, mining, oil and gas logistics, and agribusiness, means he is well-suited to lead Hyphen’s finance department.

Kanyanda’s responsibilities include financial planning and strategy, reporting, budgeting, compliance, funding and liquidity management, and risk management.

“I am honoured and excited to join Hyphen, and contribute to its overall success,” he said. Both Pieters and Kanyanda’s appointments mark a significant milestone for Hyphen, which continues to strengthen its local leadership team to drive innovation and growth in Namibia’s green hydrogen and renewable energy sectors.
