In what will be the biggest three-day music festival the country has ever seen and primed to be an annual celebration of conservation, nature and environment, top local acts are gearing up for a stellar performance. Performing two of his new songs from his upcoming album is Jericho, also known as King Twizz, at the Oasis Festival this coming weekend. Alongside him is Ms Gideon, amongst many other artists.

In terms of preparation, Jericho says he’s ‘buzzing’ and excited about it, as the concept
of the event is in line with wildlife protection.

“It’s important to associate my brand and legacy with such efforts. It’s also a great opportunity to work with various artists, young and seasoned. I am

looking forward to having a great time, and making it worthwhile for the event- goers,” enthused the hip-hop artist. His upcoming album will be called The ‘Signature’, and will be his seventh studio album. He will be performing with a “live band”, something which he says is to be more expected in the coming calendar year after he drops his album.

“I am in a very good space in my life, and I am at peace,” added Jericho.

The three-day event is set to start on a great panel today at Langstrand, a small beach resort on the Atlantic coast.

“We are glad to announce that all is set for the greatest festival, artists, and all technical aspects. We look forward to hosting the public at Langstrand,” said John Ekongo, the manager of sponsorships and promotions, as he added that planning for the event has been an adventurous experience for the past three weeks.

Namibia’s rising afro-beat songstress Ms Gideon told VIBEZ! that she is born ready. “I just get on stage and do my thing. I believe the nervousness maybe comes from the energy I’m getting from the crowd, because it’s a different crowd every time. But other than that, I’m always ready. After all, the people are there to watch me, so what’s there to be nervous about?

The confident young artist said her attitude has altered when she started performing more. She is excited to see all other artists perform, as she identifies herself as a fan of all of them.

Other artists to be expected are TopCheri, who has been actively rehearsing for the past week. Tate Buti, TKB, Ethnix, Yeezir are also part of the line-up.

The upcoming festival will infuse a fashion show which marks an exciting collaboration between “Zuriel by Luis Munana”, and “Chivas,” presenting their summer collection debut. This highly-anticipated event will be Zuriel’s inaugural showcase at the coast, and promises to be an unforgettable affair.

Featuring the exclusive unveiling of Zuriel’s luxurious summer collection, the show will spotlight international performers such as Tatiana Durao from Angola and Tay Grin from Zambia. Adding to the lineup, the renowned Hip Hop artist Lioness, known for her award-winning talent, will grace the stage with her presence.

Zuriel by Luis Munana, a prestigious Namibian-based luxury brand, boasts a rich portfolio, having previously showcased its exquisite designs at prominent events like the MTC Windhoek Fashion Week, Durban Fashion Fair, and Lusaka July, amongst others.
