Ongwediva next in line for NAMAs info session
2016-11-14Staff Report 2 Windhoek - The next Namibia Annual Music Awards (NAMAs) information session is scheduled for November 19 at the Destiny Hotel in Ongwediva. This follows the first information session in Windhoek last Wednesday and in Swakopmund on Saturday. The NAMAs committee recently invited artists and journalists to the information sessions to explain the fundamentals they must be aware of before submitting their applications. During the first session the artists were allowed to ask questions about aspects of the NAMAs that are not clear to them and were taken step-by-step through the detailed process of entering the contest. “Previous experience shows that some artists didn’t know exactly what was [expected] from them and the prerequisites of categories and consequently some of the applications were disqualified. “Hence, owing to that, the NAMAs committee has decided to hold the information sessions to inform and enlighten the artists on the matter. We thus urge artists to attend,” said NAMA committee chair Tim Ekandjo.
