Organisation of  Miss High School North in full swing
Windhoek The fourth edition of the Miss High School North has been scheduled at the Ekamuti Lodge in Ondangwa by the end of this year. The pageant was launched in 2013 to youth in high schools the opportunity to expose their modeling talents and prepare them for big events such as Miss Namibia and Miss World. The competition is only open to all high school learners in the North.  According to Sandro Itana, one of the organsisers, all high schools in the North will receive invitation letters by June to submit, before July 29 names of the learners that will represent them. He says in August, the finalists will have a photo shoot at various places in the North and this will provide the finalists with an opportunity to meet other competitors from different schools. Pictures of the finalists will also be posted on all social networks and placed in the media early October. “We are planning to go visit the SOS Orphanage in Ondangwa a week before the event. The orphans will have a lunch with the finalists of this year. Apart from lunch the finalists will donate gifts such as toys and clothes to the orphanage. Other sub event such as promotional shows at shopping malls will be carried out before the main event,” says Itana. More information about the event is available on the Miss High School North  Facebook page.  Sponsorships of whatever nature are welcomed.
