Puriza heads FNB business and public sector banking
Windhoek Partnering with the public sector has become an important collaborative move by the private sector to ensure growth. Spearhead this process is Leslie Puriza, the head of public sector banking, while Bolle Hans is manager of public sector banking at FNB Namibia. Leslie Puriza is a banker and project finance professional, who gained practical experience in portfolio sales growth and management within the public sector banking space. He has also built up general banking and project finance experience over the past 25 years through working with commercial banks and development finance institutions. Puriza holds a Masters in Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch and a B.Comm degree from the University of Namibia. Bolle Hans has 21 years of banking experience in retail and business banking, as a credit analyst, relationship manager in exclusive banking, group service manager of FNB and relationship manager in public sector banking to date. Hans has completed several banking modules and certificates, as well as an LDP and SMDP through Stellenbosch University. Puriza concludes by saying: “We realize that there are still capacity constraints and financial challenges facing numerous of our State-owned enterprises and agencies and public sector institutions. At the same time, we also know that there have been concerted efforts by government to support and finance key national projects under the various programs. “As a leading financial services provider, we commit to support our government in its efforts to realise Vision 2030 and the Harambee Prosperity Plan and, hence, we have actively identified public sector banking as a key focus and growth area. We look forward in assisting government in building a house in which everyone is happy, healthy, has a roof over their head and is employed.”
