Storytelling Hour to focus on Water Day
Windhoek The Franco-Namibia Cultural Centre (FNCC) will host a children’s Storytelling Hour, focusing on the occasion of International Water Day on October 17 at FNCC Library. Storyteller Elmarie Ndataneka Kapunda will read a story about water to the children. She says story telling ties in with the international Water day. “Water is important and without it there will be no life. Thus preserving it and safeguarding it is each and every human being’s responsibility, young or old,” says Kapunda. She adds that the current water situation in Namibia is worrisome and thus action - small as it may be - needs to be taken towards the preservation of the little we have. The children attending will also learn how to preserve water and how in their daily lives they can ensure the sustainability of our water resources.
