Pictured are some of the horde of irate taxi drivers that gathered along the densely populated Eveline Street in Katutura yesterday morning under the auspices of the Namibian Transport and Taxi Union (NTTU). The drivers had planned to march to the Ministry of Works and Transport to ask for feedback on the drivers’ unresolved grievances – key among them the lack of formal taxi ranks and what they term “unfair traffic fines”. The planned march to the ministry has been shelved for the moment.
