One ticket for three Cosafa Cup matches… a major treat for football fans
Windhoek The 2016 Cosafa Castle Cup organising committee has stepped up to another level and fans will be in for a serious football treat this weekend after it was announced that fans can buy a ticket for N$20 and use it to attend all three remaining matches. Should fans buy tickets for today’s Plate final between hosts Namibia and Zambia they are automatically guaranteed free entrance to tomorrow’s Cosafa Cup third-place playoff between DR Congo and Swaziland, as well as the official cup final between South Africa and Botswana – all happening at the Sam Nujoma Stadium. The Brave Warriors will meet the Chipolopolos of Zambia today at 17h00 at Sam Nujoma Stadium in the Plate Final of the 2016 Cosafa Castle Cup. “If you buy a ticket for today’s Plate final between Namibia and Zambia, you are guaranteed another one for Saturday’s third place and final matches of the Cosafa Castle Cup 2016. “The fans have been the greater piece of this puzzle and their continued support and presence is magnificent. We want our people to enjoy the game and what better way than to make sure they get three games for the price of one ticket”, local organising committee chairperson Roger Kambatuku said. Today’s Cosafa Cup Plate Final will be preceded by a curtain raiser involving Namibia’s Under-17 squad against their Botswana counterparts in the 2017 CAF Under-17 AFCON qualifier match at 14h00. “What a weekend of great games of football. Today we will have a double-header, one involving our national juniors against Botswana and then the Plate Final. Tomorrow it will be the third place match at 15h00 and the final at 17h30 to bring down the curtain on what has been a very successfully Cup. Namibia has once again proven our ability to organise big tournaments”, adds Kambatuku. Tickets for the prestigious tournament are on sale for N$20 from the Namibia Football Association (NFA) Football House, Freedom Land Mobile Police Station and all TN Mobile Teleshops in Windhoek. On match-days, tickets will be sold at the stadiums as well.
