unWrap - Nyambe Clothing rises to the occasion

Jeoffrey Mukubi

Black Burn Rovers defender and all-round nice guy, Ryan Nyambe (23) has decided to venture into the fashion industry and become a designer by starting his own clothing brand Nyambe Clothing, a combination of luxury and streetwear.

Speaking to unWrap.online, the Manchester-based Nyambe says that the motivation behind that led him to start the brand is his passion for fashion, looking good while comfortable with the hope of making people feel the same. The meaning of “Nyambe” means Great One, which is God “ that is why the logo has a crown above it to show the greatness.

“ I have always had an interest in fashion and looking good while feeling comfortable, from a young age. I started the brand for people who like that,” he stated.

The luxury streetwear with a hint of hood brand owner says he has more up his sleeve and is not stopping with fashion. According to the soccer player, the profits from Nyambe Clothing will be poured into a soccer school foundation, an initiative he plans to start back home in Namibia.
The Nyambe Clothing website is currently up and running and orders have already started pouring in with positive reviews. Nyambe who was last in Namibia in 2020 says he looks forward to launching a physical store should all go well. “People can order through the website but one can also order from a WhatsApp number that will be available on Instagram soon.

Ordering on the website is in pounds, Namibians can then send a confirmation of the order via WhatsApp and get assistance from there onwards,” says Nyambe. The Brave Warriors defender concluded by saying that he was not called to play at the CHAN tournament. “I think it is for local-based players as I am still in season, so it’s an opportunity for the local-based players to show their talents,” Nyambe said.
