Western Suburbs vs Rehoboth in elite rugby league final
...pundits predict knockout finale WINDHOEK - This weekend's eagerly awaited Namibia Rugby Union (NRU) Premier League final clash between rivals Western Suburbs and Rehoboth promises to deliver blistering action likely to linger in the minds of local rugby enthusiasts for a long time to come. After trotting easily past United via a 34-5 resounding victory to book themselves a place in the final of the league cup, Suburbs will challenge the tough and redoubtable Rehoboth Rugby Club for top league honours at the Hage Gaingob Stadium tomorrow in Windhoek. With Suburbs having demonstrated incredible consistency and great coordination in most departments of their game during the season, it would be expected of them to keep to the prow of the course, if they are to retain the coveted league title. But it will be a huge challenge for the battle-hardened khomasdal-based outfit as they would be facing a more physical and highly motivated side. The physical style of Rehoboth and their attacking game will sure come in handy against Suburbs, a side which is very good at ball-handling and also strong in launching quick attacks, mostly from their flanks. Rehoboth and Suburbs, will both go into this clash with their heads held high after impressive starts to their league campaign, as matches between these two rugby giants never fail to buck up and galvanise the supporters. Also, in tomorrow's action that precede the main final, Wanderers will lock horns with Reho Falcon in the elite league plate competition final, while Reho Pandas and Phoenix confront each other in the women’s league final. The entrance fee is N$10 and all learners will enter for free, the NRU has confirmed.
