SMEs’ spotlight with Pricilla Mukokobi – Muhepa finds love in selling Forever Living products

Eveline Muhepa sits outside Khomas grove mall in Khomasdal during her spare time selling her Forever Living products and quietly building a name for herself as a dedicated Forever Living business owner.

Since joining the company in January 2023, she has turned her part-time venture into a growing source of income.

Muhepa, who also works full-time elsewhere, says her journey began with curiosity. “I joined without knowing much about the business. But when I tried the products, I fell in love with them. They really work,” she said.

Forever Living is known for its range of aloe vera-based health and wellness products.

Among her bestsellers are Forever Kids Vitamins and Arctic Sea, a supplement she calls brain food. “I’ve seen big changes in my own family. My two children used to refuse to eat, but after using Forever Kids Vitamins, they now enjoy their meals.

And my son, who struggled in school, started performing better after using Arctic Sea,” she said.

Starting out required an investment of N$7 110, which covers a starter package of products. She said it’s a reasonable amount for those serious about building their own business.

“It’s affordable because the products sell quickly. Once you sell your first package, you can use the profits to restock. You also get training and support from other Forever Living members it’s like a family,” she said.

Despite her success, she admitted there are challenges in every business, but dedication keeps her moving.   “Some customers complain about prices or ask to buy on credit. But the company sets fixed prices, and we can’t reduce them. Still, I always tell my customers that the quality is worth it,” she said.

Muhepa runs most of her business through her phone, taking orders from clients and delivering products across Windhoek free of charge. “Most of my customers just message me what they want, and I deliver to their door,” she explained.

Unlike many small business owners, she has not sought government funding. She started her venture using money from her own salary and has reinvested profits to grow. “So far, I haven’t needed any assistance. The business supports itself,” she said.

She added that, Forever Living Namibia has also made operations easier for local sellers. Previously, products were ordered from South Africa, but the company has since opened a depot in Namibia, shortening delivery times and improving access.

Looking back, she said she has seen progress since she began. “When I started, I didn’t have much stock. Now I can provide almost everything my customers need,” she said.

She encouraged everyone to join the business if one wishes to earn extra income.
