Swiss teams dominate Swakopmund tournament

Swiss teams dominate Swakopmund tournament

The second Old Crocks fistball tournament took place over the long weekend in Swakopmund, with international teams dominating proceedings.

In the women’s category, HeidGenossen proved their dominance, winning the tournament in that specific division, followed by Swiss team RiWi Alpenpower, who bagged a silver medal. Meanwhile, TK Hannover had to settle for a bronze medal, with local club SKW coming in fourth position at a well-organised tournament.

In the over-40’s division, FB Elgg-Ettenhausen proved their dominance in that specific division, finishing first followed by TSV Jona in the second position. Meanwhile, local team Cohen surprised the masses, winning the third position to take home the coveted bronze medal. 

The Over-50 division saw FB Widnau dominating competition in that category, followed by TSV Hagen 1860 2 and 1 finish second and third place respectively. Meanwhile Polizei SV Wien, SV Moslesfehn, Behringen, and SFC finished fifth through sixth, respectively. 

VfB Stuttgart emerged as the winner in the over-60 category, ahead of the American team SSC, who had suffered a 11-0 set loss seven days earlier. ASKO Laakrichen managed third place, while SFC finished last.
