It is a brand-new year, and everyone has great hope that a new year will come with new and better things. A new year represents renewal and turning a new page as well as purging debris from the bad vibes of the previous year.
The natural feeling is that a new year means new resolutions, including new habits, relationships and perhaps even new places. There is no doubt that the previous year, 2024, was one of the years of trials and tribulations.
It was a year that put humanity’s adaptability and resilience to a great test. It was a year of great lessons that signified the never-ending cycle of life’s seasons.
Frankly one must admit that the world has not been the same since 2020. Since that year, it seemed humanity was just about to see a return to the Dark Ages, except that this time it was at another level. Now, some people would probably see it as a natural phenomenon but to those with three eyes, it may have just been an exposition of how evil humanity can be to itself.
However, 2025 feels different. It comes with a different spark that may hopefully revive and return humanity to its senses. Now as a tradition, in the hope of riding the wave that comes with a positive outlook for 2025, many may embark upon great plans and resolutions.
This may include looking at new ways of doing things, and some may look at doing new things altogether. This is not only a tradition but seems to have become humanity’s natural tendency to assume that doing new things or doing old things in a different way guarantees progress and success.
We often do this without first looking at first purging our doings and ways. This alone may be self-defeating and guarantee great failure even before we get started.
With that said, maybe a new year may not necessarily mean new things and the new year resolution tradition may have been the problem all along. Maybe just because it may have worked for us in the past may not mean it will turn out to be the same this time. Maybe,
having that breakthrough does not require anything new. Maybe it just requires us to get rid of the old ways of self-sabotage and enhance those that have served us well.
Sometimes it may even be just one habit that hampers and eventually destroys all the progress of the good ones. When it comes to our dreams not manifesting, maybe we just need to force things too hard and, for once try the Triple-A attitude: Acknowledge, Appreciate, and Allow.
