Vmsix, the acclaimed award-winning Namibian music group, recently announced their music had been submitted for consideration for the Grammy Awards.
This marks a significant milestone for the talented artists, who have been making waves in the local and international music scene of late.
The group’s entry features their collaboration with the acclaimed singer-songwriter, mixing engineer and producer Shelby Lock. The song, titled ‘A Life For Me’, has been submitted in the Best Global Music Performance category. This recognition underscores Vmsix’s exceptional talent and the global appeal of their music. A Life for Me, released in August under the South African label Next Music, is available on all major music platforms.

The group recently returned home triumphantly after a whirlwind 10-day tour of Russia, culminating in a stunning performance at the Moscow A Cappella Festival and Contest. The group, known for their captivating vocals and vibrant stage presence, not only delivered over 25 captivating performances throughout the festival but also walked away with the coveted People’s Choice Award.
The Moscow A Cappella Festival is a global gathering, attracting more than 150 of the finest Acappella groups from around the world. Vmsix faced fierce competition, but their talent and stage charisma resonated with the audience, earning them the prestigious People’s Choice Award.
