I met a young man a few weeks ago who had a great business idea but very low self-esteem. He came to me for advice on how to start his own business.
I asked him why he wasn’t confident with himself and what he told me prompted me to write this article. In short, his real problem was that he comes from a very poor background and that has affected his self-esteem since childhood.
Many of the world’s greatest entrepreneurs came from extremely poor backgrounds but this didn’t hold them back from fulfilling their dreams. I want to tell all the would-be entrepreneurs who are ashamed or affected by their poor backgrounds that we all have a rich parent. Yes, we all have a rich dad.
We all come from the wealthiest parent of all parents, God. It doesn’t matter what religion you are but I am sure most of us believe in the ultimate one true God. If you don’t believe in God then picture this: The Universe, Mother Nature. Nature gives us all resources we need to prosper in life. One of the greatest resources is inside your head, it is your brains.
Use them, nurture great thoughts in them and you will accumulate a fortune and much more. Benjamin Disraeli wrote, nurture great thoughts, for you will never go higher than your thoughts. Napoleon Hill wrote, more gold has been mined from the thoughts of men than has ever been taken from the earth.
Go ahead, start today. Mine that gold tank inside your head, invest in your dreams and you will make more money than you have ever dreamt of. Don’t worry if your biological parents aren’t that rich. The parent of all parents, your parent, the ultimate God who created this world, is the wealthiest parent of all.
Everything belongs to him and he made this planet so that you can live and prosper in it. Stop beating yourself down about having a poor background.
You are born rich in the universe. You are as rich as your thoughts. If you think you are beaten you are indeed beaten. If you think you are going to make it you will make it.
“The successful men of today are men of one overmastering idea, one unwavering aim, men of single and intense purpose.”
– Orison Swett Marden
Invest in your dreams and aspirations and I promise you that one day you will get to the mountain top. Go ahead, tell yourself, my father is the wealthiest person in the world. Say it every day. Say it until you start believing it. If your father is the wealthiest person in the world then so are his children, and you are his child. At this stage you can pause reading and pat yourself on the shoulder. You have just learned what they don’t teach you at formal school.
If you realize the power of what I am writing then I am sure you are going to graduate into a Dream Achiever very soon. Start sowing your dreams and wait for harvest time. You will accumulate more money than you have ever imagined.
Your father is the wealthiest person in the world.
