WINDHOEK– With the ongoing voter registration, Youth Corner’s  Sabina Elago speaks to the youths, especially ones that are registering to vote for the first time to find out if they are registering and if they understand why they need to register.

Tresia Jonas (21) student: “ I register because we are living in a very bad situation, so I believe if I register I will stand a chance to vote for change and that is by voting the leader of my choice.”

 

Ndeshi David (19) student: “My parents told me to go register but yet I can see I am old enough to register. I heard it is a benefit to have that card so I register.”

 

Christel Basson (18) student: “Mum told me to register she said it is important to have that card, because one never know when it will be useful.”

 

Manoria Niingo (18) student: “I register to vote for the leader of my choice. I hope when I register to vote for the light,  I will get some benefit and see some development.”

 

Naemi Johannes (19) student: “Yes I register because I want to vote and everyone has to register if they turn 18. I will make sure my vote count.”

 

Hambeleleni Hangula (18) student: “ I register because I want to vote for change in this country. I want the leader that I vote for to improve the education system in our country.”

 

Rodney Amufufu (19) student: “I believe I am old enough to register now and if I did not do that is like I will be enjoying others fruits while I am not delivering.  And registering to vote makes me a truly Namibian that knows what I want from your government.

 

Brooks Shitaa (18) student: “I register because I want to see changes when I vote. I want our country to develop so I am going to vote for the light leader.”

 

Frieda Shapwa (20) student: “ I register for the benefit of the card. Because even after all those years when people voted we did not see changes or improvement in this country.”

 

Iiyambo Nambala (19) student: “I register to vote, that’s it.”

Pius Katoma (18) student: “I am going to register to vote and I want to see changes when I vote.”
