Bank Windhoek Holdings recently honoured four outstanding individuals in the group by awarding them the prestigious Group Managing Director Awards.
The awards were handed to recipients at the Annual Executive Awards of Bank Windhoek Holdings, which took place in Windhoek on Thursday, September 8.
The Group Managing Director Awards consists of four categories, namely, Secretary/PA for Branches, Secretary/PA for Support Services, the MD’s Leadership Award for non-managerial staff and the MD’s Leadership Award for managerial staff.
Johanna Ashipala, Credit Manager, Oshakati Branch, won the Leadership Award in the category for managerial staff for her inspirational and exemplary leadership, her flexibility to respond to change and her “can-do” attitude. The criteria on which Ashipala was selected to receive the award included leadership skills; relationship building; results orientation; accountability, conflict management and the ability to manage change.
Ashipala, as well as the other three recipients of the MD’s awards, were selected by a panel consisting of the Bank Windhoek Holdings and Bank Windhoek Executive Management teams who assessed all the nominations received for this award.
Trizelle Williams, from Bank Windhoek’s International Operations was awarded the MD’s Leadership Award for non-managerial staff. She was selected based on her results orientation; accountability; customer service orientation and teamwork.
Anri Bothma of Maerua Mall Branch received the Group Managing Director’s Award for PA/Secretary in the category for Branches, while Hendriska Berry won the Award as PA/Secretary for Support Services.
