FNB Namibia has encouraged Namibians to start voting for their favourite restaurants in the FNB Restaurant Week, which is currently underway and will be running though to September 11.

“We encourage Namibians to sample as many menus from the participating restaurants during the weeks of August 28 to September 11. During that week the restaurants will also offer special menus with a variety of prices,” said Madri Frewer, Marketing Manager at FNB Namibia.

Frewer adds that not only can one wine and dine on great food at great prices, but participants can also win numerous prizes if they attend and send in their votes.

“Throughout FNB Restaurant Week some truly spectacular prizes can be won and taking part is extremely easy. You need to eat out at participating restaurants, you need to download the mobile application and you need to vote. The more you dine out, the better your chances,” she said. FNB Namibia’s main aim of supporting this great initiative has been to enhance customer service in hospitality training and their support has enabled trainers to give their input and insights into the training of employees in customer service, bar handling, chef training and also chocolate making.

“This is the first event of its kind in Namibia and awards will be given away in the following categories: best bar service, best customer service, best RWN menu/dish and best overall,” adds Frewer.

The bank, together with a number of other supporters, will also give away some prizes to people who swiped at a participating restaurants with their valid debit or credit card. “In this way we encourage use of the cards, which is safer than cash,” says Frewer.

The prize includes one weekend’s complimentary accommodation at Swakopmund SeaSide Hotel and Spa.
“We look forward to many great entries. Together we can help our restaurants achieve greater customer service and overall satisfaction. This is beneficial for all Namibians as well as tourist who frequent these places.”

The participating restaurants in Windhoek are Café Dulce, Caffe Brazza, Corner 62nd, Fresh N Wild Utopia, Garnish, Gathemann, Hartlief Rooftop, Heinitzburg, Kalahari Sands, Hotel Thule, King Dumpling Chinese Restaurant, Klein Windhoek Guesthouse, Kubata, La Bonne Table, La Brocante, Roof of Africa, Seaside Hotel & Spa, SKW, Skyview Restaurant, Stellenbosch Wine Bar, Street Cuisine, The Joy of Food, NICE, Peppercorn Grill and Craft Café Windhoek.

In Swakopmund the participating restaurants are Beach Hotel Swakopmund, Bits N Pizza, Hotel Europa Hof, Sea Side Hotel and Spa and Brauhaus. In Walvis Bay the restaurants are Lemon Tree, Little Beach Bistro and Anchors Restaurant.
