Lower Division Title Chase Hots Up
By Carlos Kambaekwa WINDHOEK Buoyed by their historic victory over APS Blue Waters in the MTC NFA Cup at Walvis Bay last weekend, Southern Stream log leaders Hotspurs could be too hot for Black Marocco Chiefs. The two teams lock horns in Namibia's 2nd tier division at the Wanaheda Stadium in Windhoek on Saturday, and the fired-up Windhoek-based outfit will be looking at a comprehensive win over their lowly placed opponents (14h00). Elsewhere, Friends have a date with Young Beauties at the St Joseph's Stadium in Rehoboth on Saturday (16h00). In other action in the Southern Stream division one - lowly placed Zambezi United are at home to 4th placed Namib Woestyn at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Katutura (11h00). Title chasing Monitronic College entertain bottom side Flying Eagles in what should be a routine exercise for the students as they look to narrow the one point gap between them and Hotspurs - hoping that Hotspurs stumble in their match against BMC in the curtain-raiser at the Wanaheda Stadium (16h00). The two title-chasing teams will relocate to the Khomasdal Stadium on Sunday, where they will exchange opponents, with the clever boys taking on BMC while Hotspurs will be hoping to fly high against Flying Eagles in the last match. League strugglers Deportivo Alaves play host to Young Beauties at the Reho Stadium to conclude the league activities on Sunday (13h00).
