2016-09-20Staff Report 2 Rundu John Mwenyo, aged 22, from Divundu in Mukwe Constituency appeared in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court this week for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl. Mwenyo was arrested on Thursday after a charge of rape was laid against him with the police at Divundu. “On Thursday at around 22h00 somewhere near the Vision School the suspect forced the victim, who is a minor, to have sexual intercourse without her consent,” said Detective Chief Inspector Ewald Kavara at the Kavango East police. Mwenyo was denied bail due to the seriousness of the charge he faces and his case was remanded to October 11 for further police investigations.
