Earlier this year Old Mutual joined hands with business partners SMEs Compete, the Namibian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation to launch Enterprise 2007.
The competition aims at recognising, celebrating and assisting Small and Medium Enterprises in Namibia. Organisers divided the competition into two categories for businesses to compete in based on the number of employees employed.
Judges evaluated entrants on criteria such as innovation, market growth and employment creation with bonus points awarded for environmental friendliness and social involvement.
Erastus Amenya of Ondje Cleaning Service of Rosh Pinah won first prize. He received cash, training, office equipment, and business signage to the value of N$40???_?_’???_?’???_???
