Geely launches new EV model

JERUSALEM – Chinese automaker Geely on Wednesday officially launched the new version of its electric vehicle model Geometry C in Israel.

Compared to its previous version, which topped electric vehicle sales in Israel in 2022, the new version has a re-designed exterior as well as an upgraded battery. Its range reaches 485 km, up 25 km from the previous version.

“Electric vehicles are the perfect solution in Israel. Now one of every six cars in Israel is electric,” Ronen Yablon, CEO of Geely Israel, told Xinhua

“The future is very bright for electric vehicles and Geely in Israel.”

“One and half years ago, nobody in Israel wanted to buy a Chinese brand of car, but now we have over 11 000 vehicles of our brand on the road,” he added.

Geely, an automaker based in Hangzhou, eastern China, entered the Israeli market in late 2021 with its compact crossover model Geometry C and soon became one of the most popular electric vehicle brands in the country.– Nampa/ Xinhua
